With the No. 53 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected offensive tackle Jake Fisher of Oregon. Fisher was a third-team All-American and first-team All-Pac 12 member in 2014, starting 13 games at left tackle for the Ducks.
NFL Draft results 2015: Bengals select Jake Fisher in 2nd round
Fisher can start at either the left or right tackle spot.

Fisher played primarily on the right side prior to his senior season, but played the best football of his college career last season on the left side. He’s a good fit on either side at the next level, excelling as a pass blocker well enough to man the left side and being solid enough in the running game to take over the right tackle spot if needed.
Fisher is one of the more athletic offensive linemen in this year’s draft. He’s a former tight end who won’t get left behind by speedy edge rushers, but he’s prone to mental mistakes and was penalized frequently over the past couple of seasons. Fisher was called for holding six times in 2014, and those penalties can completely kill offensive possessions in the NFL.
Still, Fisher is considered NFL-ready and can come in and start as a rookie, especially on a zone-blocking team. He was a strong performer at the NFL Scouting Combine, topping all offensive linemen with a 7.25-second 3-cone drill and a 4.33-second 20-yard shuttle. He came in second in two other drills: the 40-yard dash (5.01 seconds) and the vertical leap (32.5 inches).
