The Pittsburgh Steelers have chosen Ole Miss cornerback Senquez Golson with the No. 56 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. As an All-American and All-SEC selection in 2014, Golson will bring a great deal of talent and credentials to his new team. He left Ole Miss as the school record-holder for interceptions in a season, racking up 10 picks in his senior year.
NFL Draft results 2015: Senquez Golson to Steelers in 2nd round
Senquez Golson joins the Steelers after the team used the No. 56 overall pick on him.

Not only does Golson have a knack for finding the ball, he’s also an all-around athlete. He was able to balance his production on the football field while contributing as a member of the baseball team, a strong indicator that he can potentially handle the rigors of learning the NFL.
One drawback Golson has is that he played a lot of zone in college and, at 5’9, lacks ideal size to cover larger receivers at the NFL level. For that reason, he projects to struggle on the outside, though he could mitigate some of those potential shortcomings with his passion for the game and playmaking ability.
Golson put up solid numbers at the Combine -- a 4.46-second 40-yard dash to go along with a 33.5-inch vertical. He added 15 reps on the bench press, but his best assets may be beyond measure.
A 2011 Major League Baseball draft pick, Golson turned down a hefty paycheck in order to play football. He has the tools and measurables to be successful at the next level, and that's clearly what the Steelers saw in him.
