With the No. 121 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected cornerback Doran Grant of Ohio State. Grant was a first-team All-Big Ten player this past season, starting all 15 games and pulling down five interceptions.
NFL Draft picks 2015: Doran Grant taken by Steelers
Doran Grant goes to the Steelers at No. 121 overall.

That interception total was the highest of his college career, improving on the three he had as a junior and one he had as a sophomore. Grant finished his college career with 146 tackles, four of which were for a loss, a sack and nine interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.
Grant has great instincts, isn’t easily fooled and is equally strong as a man and a zone corner. The biggest issue with his game is that he’s undersized for the position and tends to get out-muscled by bigger receivers. He’s active enough with his hands (but not too active) but he’ll lose position battling outside with the top receivers in the NFL.
Still, he’s an excellent athlete, running the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine. He also put up 21 reps on the bench press. At Ohio State’s pro day, Grant sat on those numbers, which ranked among the top at his position, but he still participated in several other drills. He improved his three-cone drill time (4.18 seconds) and also ran the 20-yard shuttle in 7.04 seconds while posting a broad jump of 10’5 and vertical jump of 35.5 inches.
