With the No. 241 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns selected cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu of Oregon. Ekpre-Olomu was a consensus All-American and a first-team All-Pac-12 selection last season.
NFL Draft picks 2015: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu taken by Browns in 7th round
The Cleveland Browns landed Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.

In addition to those honors, Ekpre-Olomu was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation’s top defensive back. He finished his college career with 244 tackles, 6.5 of which were for a loss, and nine interceptions. His tackle numbers were high for a cornerback, and his interception numbers didn’t necessarily suffer for it.
Ekpre-Olomu was an All-Pac-12 selection in 2012 and 2013, as well. He sustained a season-ending knee injury in preparation for last season’s Rose Bowl and wasn’t able to work out for teams in the pre-draft process. He has no Scouting Combine or pro day numbers to go on, which certainly hurt his draft stock. However, there’s a lot of tape to go on, and Ekpre-Olomu has a high ceiling if he can make a full recovery.
