2015 NFL Draft results: Michael Bennett, Charles Gaines off the board in 6th round

There’s only one round to go in the 2015 NFL Draft, with guys like Michael Bennett and Charles Gaines coming off the board in the sixth.

The sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft is officially in the books, which means we have just one more round to go. Obviously, the top tier talent is off the board all over the place, but there are still plenty of quality players worth taking a shot on in the seventh round. Making sure the guy you want doesn't hit undrafted free agency is the priority for NFL teams at this stage in the draft.

One big-name player who made it down into the sixth round was defensive tackle Michael Bennett. The Ohio State product was generally considered a guy who should be going on Day 2 of the draft, but he fell all the way to No. 180 overall, where the Jacksonville Jaguars were more than happy to draft him. Bennett is a guy who can contribute early in his NFL career and should make an impact with the Jaguars.

Another guy who fell was cornerback Charles Gaines. It's unclear why he dropped, but he has starting potential and the Cleveland Browns should be able to find a spot for him to play if he grasps the playbook quickly enough. Gaines wound up going 189th overall. Other notable guys going in the sixth include offensive tackle Tyrus Thompson of Oklahoma, who went to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 185 overall and defensive tackle Darius Philon of Arkansas, who went to the San Diego Chargers at No. 192 overall.
