The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to improve week to week, but a new injury to one of quarterback Jameis Winston's top targets could halt their rise. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the injury second-year tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins suffered on Sunday is a strained shoulder. The team expects him to remain on the sidelines for the next four to six weeks, though he plans to seek a second medical opinion.
Jameis Winston could be without top target Austin Seferian-Jenkins for 4-6 weeks
The Buccaneers’ leading tight end could miss a month or more with a shoulder injury.

Assuming Seferian-Jenkins doesn't receive a better prognosis during his second opinion, he becomes the latest Tampa Bay pass catcher to miss games. Wide receiver Mike Evans, the seventh overall pick a year ago, missed the team's season opener and appeared to be on a snap count this past weekend. The Buccaneers targeted Evans just three times during his 2015 debut, though the wideout finished the game without a catch.
Prior to the injury, Seferian-Jenkins had carved out a significant niche in the Buccaneers' passing attack. He caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1, and had two catches already when he injured his shoulder during the third quarter of Week 2. If Seferian-Jenkins cannot suit up, veteran reserves Brandon Myers and Luke Stocker would take on larger roles in the offense.
