The Denver Broncos have dominated the Oakland Raiders in recent seasons. It hasn’t really been close over the years, but the Raiders are actually a good team now. The Broncos are also a good team, and Sunday’s matchup between the two is hugely important for the future of the AFC West.
Broncos vs. Raiders 2016 picks and predictions: Experts mostly split for SNF matchup
Experts tend to favor the Raiders in Sunday’s matchup against the Broncos, but not everyone is convinced.
Both teams are 6-2 on the season, though the Raiders seem to have the momentum. They have the franchise quarterback and they have a more complete team overall, while the Broncos are coming off an offseason in which they lost a lot of talent to free agency and retirement. They are also coming off a Super Bowl victory, and that counts for plenty.
Either way, they will face off under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football. But who will win?
As far as experts are concerned, there isn’t really a consensus. Over at CBS Sports, the eight experts picking the matchup were split, with four going to each team. At ESPN, it’s similar, with a slight nudge toward the Raiders. Five of their nine experts think Oakland will win the game.
Here at SB Nation, things are much more decisive.
