The first day and first round of the 2016 NFL Draft are in the books and it was just as exciting as expected. The Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles traded into the top two picks before the draft and wound up using their picks to take quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, respectively.
NFL Draft order 2016: Complete selection order for Rounds 2-7
Day 2 of the NFL Draft is here, and all eyes are on the Cleveland Browns at the top of the second round.
As expected, there were other trades that didn't occur until the draft actually got underway. The biggest saw the Denver Broncos move up to No. 26 to take Paxton Lynch, now their quarterback of the future. Teams like the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers also made minor trades, moving up for Leonard Floyd and Joshua Garnett, respectively.
Now, all eyes will be on the Cleveland Browns, who hold the top pick in the second round of the draft. Day 2 will feature the second and third rounds, and all speculation will be on what happens with that top pick as teams take time to go over their draft boards and plan out the remainder of the draft. Rounds 4 through 7 will take place on Saturday, the final day of the draft.
The Browns landed wide receiver Corey Coleman with their first-round pick, filling a huge need at wide receiver. They have other holes, including at the quarterback position. Many will wonder if Connor Cook could be the pick at the top of the second round but we’ll have to wait and see.
The second round of the draft will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will run through to the third round, at which point the second day of the draft will also be in the books.
