2016 NFL Draft: Time and TV schedule for Rounds 2 and 3

After a dramatic first round, the second day of the NFL Draft will get started at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.

With one round of the 2016 NFL Draft in the books, the second day will get started at 7 p.m. ET on Friday with coverage again carried on both ESPN and NFL Network.

During the first round, there was the usual drama associated with the NFL Draft, although a bizarre saga of Laremy Tunsil's Twitter account getting hacked added a twist just before the beginning of the order. A video that showed the Ole Miss offensive tackle smoking a bong with a gas mask is believed to be the reason Tunsil fell out of the top 10 and instead landed with the Miami Dolphins with the No. 13 pick.

Another player who slid down the order was UCLA linebacker Myles Jack, who has knee concerns that no team was willing to take a risk on in the first round. On Friday, Jack will be one of the most-watched players, but several other talented prospects also slipped out of the first round, including Alabama stars A’Shawn Robinson, Jarran Reed and Derrick Henry.

When the second round gets started, it will be the Cleveland Browns that are on the clock with the No. 32 pick after taking Baylor wide receiver Corey Coleman in the first round. With three quarterbacks off the board, many will look to Cleveland to grab a passer before the crop gets too thin, but the No. 32 pick still might be too early for the fourth quarterback off the board.

After having 10 minutes to make picks in the first round, teams will have just seven minutes in the second round and only five minutes in the third round to make a selection. That should make the slate of second and third round selections go by quicker, before the final four rounds of the draft breeze by on Saturday.

On Friday, the NFL Network will keep the same group of hosts, analysts and reporters for its broadcast, and will add Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer to the main set. On ESPN, Trey Wingo will replace Chris Berman at the desk, while Todd McShay takes over draft guru duties from Mel Kiper Jr.
