The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50 on the strength of their dominant defense, but when they handed out rings commemorating their victory over the Carolina Panthers, defensive coordinator Wade Phillips didn't exactly get his due.
Someone put the wrong name on Wade Phillips’ Super Bowl ring
Phillips was instrumental in the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 win.

The Ring Ceremony was great. Receiving the Ring was awesome. Seeing that they had the wrong name on my Ring, not so good.

Phillips’ name isn’t unusual, and it’s hard to imagine how the engravers managed to put the wrong name on his Super Bowl ring, especially considering he played such a key role in the Super Bowl win.
We want to believe that the ringmakers were aware of Phillips’ affinity for rap music, and a Freudian slip caused them to put “Wale Phillips” on the ring.

"It’s a really big ring. It’s a really big thing. We’ve got a really big team, as @Drake would say."
But the actual mistake wasn’t that fun:
Phillips ring wasn't misspelled it was duplicate name of scout Adam Peters. DEN PR Smyth: "Wade was understanding of Jostens mixup" #9news

Despite the error, Phillips seems very happy about the ring.

Jostens was on top of it, and now Phillips has TWO really big rings.
Now I have 2! Thx Jostens for fixing the problem so quickly! pic.twitter.com/6Fjd7YUTgS
