Patriots vs. Dolphins live stream: How to watch ‘Monday Night Football’

The Dolphins may be the AFC East’s last hope to unseat the Patriots.

The Patriots are just one win away from clinching their 14th AFC East title in the last 15 years. The Dolphins have just one win in their last six games. Miami can derail Bill Belichick’s quest for another division championship in prime time when the Dolphins host Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN (live stream).

Miami will have to punch above its weight class to take down New England and ensure the division remains open for one more week — even if Buffalo is the only club with a prayer of usurping the Pats. The Dolphins broke a five-game losing streak by crushing a spiraling Broncos team last week. They’ll need to be even better on Monday in order to keep their slim playoff hopes intact.

  • Odds: New England is favored by 11 points.

Patriots at Dolphins news:

The football world actually doubted the New England Patriots early in the season. With the defense looking awful, the Patriots limped out to a 2-2 start and looked far from a Super Bowl favorite.

Now the team has won eight consecutive games and can clinch its 14th AFC East title in 15 years with a win against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14. The weirdest part is the Patriots defense is playing really well and allowed just 489 yards and 20 points in the last two weeks combined.

With a commanding 33-9 lead in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins decided to attempt an onside kick — which surprised some fans and players. Gase wanted his team to keep its foot on the gas pedal until the game was over. It worked too; they got the ball back.

Can Jay Cutler make his return from retirement worthwhile?

Cutler wasn’t retired for long; his foray into the CBS broadcasting boost lasted zero games before Miami lured him back to the field after Ryan Tannehill suffered a season-ending injury during the preseason. He’s had a few solid performances this fall -- including a 311-yard, three touchdown performance against Oakland — but has mostly underwhelmed as the Dolphins’ starter. After missing his team’s last game against the Pats, he’ll have the chance to prove himself against a peaking New England defense in Week 14.

Patriots at Dolphins prediction:

All eight of our experts picked the Patriots to win this game. Shocker.

The worst ‘Monday Night Football’ game ever
