The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots will face off under the bright lights of Super Bowl 51 from NRG Stadium in Houston. Matt Ryan’s Falcons are going for their franchise’s first ever Lombardi Trophy, while Tom Brady’s Patriots are no strangers to playing in — and winning — Super Bowls.

Sunday’s game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast in the United States by FOX. There will be pregame coverage hours before the game on all of FOX, the NFL Network, and ESPN.
Anybody in the United States with an internet connection can get on and watch the game online via Fox Sports GO, while normally the service would require a television subscription during the regular season.
Ryan and Brady lead two of the best offenses in the league in the regular season. The Falcons ranked second in the league in yards, while the Patriots came in at fourth. Atlanta ranked first in the league with points scores per game at 33.8, while New England was third at 27.6 points per game.
Defensively is where things get a little lopsided. Atlanta’s defense has played a big part in its success this season as they it’s been better than in disappointing years past, but it still doesn’t compare to New England’s. The Falcons ranked 25th in the league in yards allowed, while the Patriots came in at eighth.
Things are more skewed when it comes to points allowed. The Falcons allowed 25.4 points per game in the regular season, 27th in the league. They ranked below some bad teams, with an example being the Jacksonville Jaguars, who ranked 25th. The Patriots, on the other hand, ranked first in the league with just 15.6 points allowed per game.
Ryan and Brady have both been fantastic this season. Both have been proficient at carving up good defenses, but Ryan will have the taller task given New England’s stingy defense. But Ryan was named league MVP on Saturday evening for a reason — he’s playing the best football of his career.
Sunday’s game should be a good one.
