The New Orleans Saints came from behind to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs, and now advance to the NFC Championship, where they will play host to the Los Angeles Rams. Philadelphia got out to a good start, leading 14-0, but the Saints slowly made their way back and took the lead late in the game.

They never let it go, winning 20-14.

Philadelphia looked like they might stage another late comeback on the arm of Nick Foles, and they came awfully close to it. They made it into New Orleans territory, before a Foles pass went right through the hands of Alshon Jeffery and right into the hands of Marshon Lattimore.

The Saints were able to pick up a first down and, from there, kneel out the remainder of the game.

Foles finished the game 18 of 30 for 201 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Drew Brees completed 28 of 38 passes for 301 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. New Orleans, as a team, rushed for 137 yards (Alvin Kamara, 71 yards; Mark Ingram, 53 yards) compared to just 49 total rushing yards for the Eagles.

Below, you can find the live blog and top plays from Sunday’s final divisional round game.

Saints 20, Eagles 14, 1:52 of 4th Quarter: Oh, Nick Foles ... After a couple productive plays for the Eagles, they were well into New Orleans territory, but things went south when a Foles pass went through Alshon Jeffery’s hands and right into Marshon Lattimore’s! It’s a Saints interception with under two minutes to go!

Saints 20, Eagles 14, 2:58, 4th Quarter: Oof. The momentum in this game shifted rather quickly. After the Eagles get the ball back, Foles throws four incomplete passes and one that only goes for 2 yards, leading to a quick punt. And the Saints wasted no time getting back into scoring position, with Brees hitting Thomas for a 22-yard gain. Kamara then runs for 13 yards and they’re into field goal range. Michael Bennett makes a huge play on a 3rd-and-8, blowing up a Kamara run in the backfield for a loss of 3 yards. That made it a 52-yard field goal and Lutz misses! Wide right!

Saints 20, Eagles 14, 10:21, 4th Quarter: Brees and the Saints took over from their own 17-yard line, but picked up big gains with a 15-yard reception by Smith and a 36-yard from from Ingram. Eventually, they got to the Philadelphia 21-yard line, where Lutz kicked his second field goal of the day to make it a six-point game.

Saints 17, Eagles 14, 13:59, 4th Quarter: After getting the ball back, the Eagles converted a 2nd-and-long with a 17-yard reception by Ertz. But after that, they have two incomplete passes and one that only goes for 2 yards, so they’re forced to punt at the start of the fourth quarter. Saints still up!

Saints 17, Eagles 14, 1:40, 3rd Quarter: Philadelphia received the second-half kickoff, but they couldn’t get anything done with it, burning a timeout in the process of going three-and-out. Brees finds Ginn for 8 yards, they’re assisted by a questionable defensive holding penalty, and Brees also has modest gains to Thomas, Kirkwood and Hill. Then he finds Kamara deep, wide open, for a 46-yard touchdown!

... But it’s called back for offensive holding. Ouch! The Saints then slowly convert another set of downs, but get pushed back 10 yards again with another offensive holding penalty, this one on Max Unger. Brees eventually finds Thomas for 20 yards, and then again for a 2-yard touchdown, giving the Saints their first lead of the game!

Eagles 14, Saints 10, END 2nd Quarter: A touchback, and the Eagles w=ill try and put something together before the end of the first half. Unfortunately, Jason Peters is called for a false start — the building got a whole lot louder when the Saints scored — and they had to punt it. So New Orleans takes over with 4:33 to go. Kamara goes for 13 yards, but the Saints are quickly pushed back into a punting situation after an 8-yard sack on third down. Philadelphia will get another try at it with two minutes to go! ... And they drain about 20 seconds off the clock before punting again.

And now the Saints are trying again. Brees hits Watson for 12 yards, then Ginn for 21 yards. Kamara goes for 6 yards and then catches a pass for 23 yards. The Saints burn their final timeout at the Philadelphia 32-yard line, with 35 seconds left in the half. Fletcher Cox is back in after being injured, and he draws a holding penalty, pushing the Saints out of field goal range. But Brees hits Ginn over the middle, and they make it to the line to spike it with 11 seconds left. Will Lutz comes out for the 45-yard field goal, and it’s good!

Eagles 14, Saints 7, 7:23, 2nd Quarter: After the fake punt, the Saints quickly moved down the field. Brees hit Michael Thomas for a 42-yard gain, and the Saints convert two fourth downs on the drive, which ended in a Kirkwood touchdown reception. We have a game!

Eagles 14, Saints 0, 11:51, 2nd Quarter: The Saints catch a break on the ensuing drive, when Foles throws a deep pass to Ertz that is caught by ... Marshon Lattimore! Not exactly who Foles was targeting. Then, facing a three-and-out, the Saints ran a fake punt and picked up the first down! They’re moving early in the second quarter.

Eagles 14, Saints 0, 0:29 of 1st Quarter: The Saints narrowly avoid another disaster when Brees has the ball stripped. The Eagles looked like they recovered it and then fumbled themselves, where it was then recovered by the Saints. They ruled it as a double fumble and a new set of downs for the Saints, but upon review, decided that the Eagles never actually possessed the ball, so it set up a fourth down for the Saints.

So ... not ideal. But a lot better than a turnover without the opportunity to punt!

Eagles 14, Saints 0, 4:37, 1st Quarter: After the Eagles touchdown, the Saints got the ball at their own 25-yard line, but they go three-and-out, giving Philadelphia the ball right back. Unfortunately, there were a couple significant injuries and the cart had to come out twice — first for Saints defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins and the second for Philadelphia offensive lineman Brandon Brooks. But a steady, lengthy drive ultimately ended with another Eagles touchdown, this one a 1-yard run from Foles to make it a 14-point game!

Eagles 7, Saints 0, 10:41, 1st Quarter: New Orleans received the opening kickoff and on the first play of the game, Drew Brees is intercepted by Crevon LeBlanc on a deep pass intended for Ted Ginn Jr! Wow, and what an interception it was!

From there, the Eagles scripted a pretty perfect offensive possession. Nick Foles hit Zach Ertz for 11 yards, while Wendell Smallwood had multiple solid gains on the ground. The drive ended with a 37-yard touchdown to Jordan Matthews, and the Eagles are not playing around!

The Patriots just dominated the Chargers in the divisional round of the playoffs, and now we’ll wrap things up with a game between the Eagles and Saints. We’ll have a running live blog of the action, including highlights and other information. Below, you can find a preview and all the streaming/viewing information you need. Stick with it right here!

The New Orleans Saints finished the regular season at 13-3, and now will play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs after a week off due to their first-round bye. The game will be played from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and will begin at 4:40 p.m. ET on Sunday. It will be broadcast by FOX (live streaming via FuboTV, FOX Sports GO).

Philadelphia, led by Nick Foles, just barely squeaked past the Bears in the wild card round. They were in control for much of the game, but the Bears made a late comeback and were in position for a game-winning field goal that was ultimately missed after it hit the upright and then the crossbar.

In that game, Foles completed 25 of 40 passes for 266 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, while the team as a whole rushed for just 42 total yards.

The Saints and Eagles also faced off in the regular season, and it was an old-fashioned beatdown, with the Saints winning, 48-7. Drew Brees threw for 363 yards and four touchdowns and wasn’t sacked once, while as a team the Saints rushed for 173 yards.

This was before Carson Wentz’s injury, and he had an awful game, completing 19 of 33 passes for 156 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions while being sacked three times. The Eagles also only managed 58 yards rushing.

It was a blowout, but perhaps the underdog Foles can take his underdog team further, which seems to be his primary strength as a quarterback. That loss to the Saints left the Eagles at 4-6 on the season, but they went on to win five of their next six games — three under Foles — to make the playoffs at 9-7.
