The Pro Bowl is what it is. Some of the best players in the NFL — at least the ones not in the Super Bowl — half-assing it in a game that no one should take too seriously.
12 can’t-miss moments from the 2019 Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl was actually pretty fun!

The AFC led the entire way and won big, 26-7. Patrick Mahomes won offensive MVP while Jamal Adams was the defensive MVP.
The score aside, there was still a lot of fun to be had in the game. Catch up with all the can’t-miss moments from the 2019 Pro Bowl.
Jason Witten broke the Pro Bowl trophy
Jalen Ramsey is going to talk so much trash after catching a TD
There was really only one way to end the game: with someone playing a position he normally doesn’t scoring a touchdown. This time, it was cornerback Jalen Ramsey, running a slant and scoring the final points of the game.
A fullback almost won Pro Bowl offensive MVP honors
Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman ran in a touchdown earlier in the game, but he made his biggest impact as a receiver, with three catches for 92 yards, including this pass from Deshaun Watson:
In the end, it was Sherman’s quarterback who won offensive MVP: Patrick Mahomes.
This is the best Pro Bowl play of all time, hands down
*chef’s kiss*
Dak Prescott made sure the NFC wasn’t shut out
Sorry for those who wanted to see one team get shut out in the Pro Bowl. On his first drive of the game, Dak Prescott led the NFC to its first and only touchdown of the game:
Alvin Kamara just embarrassed Taylor Lewan
Alvin Kamara, running back, lined up at pass rusher and put quite the move on Taylor Lewan:
He came thiiiiis close to getting a sack.
You know who cares about the Pro Bowl? Jason Garrett
Garrett and the Cowboys staff coached the NFC. And despite his side getting beat, Garrett was both having fun (!) and tried creative ways (!!) to try to get the NFC points, especially when it involved feeding Zeke.
In the first quarter, he lined up Ezekiel Elliott in the shotgun, to hand the ball off to Saquon Barkley. In the third quarter, he ran a fake punt with Elliott, who picked up a first down:
Then later in the third quarter, he lined up Elliott again ... to rush the passer!
AND THEN, he did the same with Alvin Kamara and Saquon Barkley:
Finally, Mike Evans lined up at cornerback and got that interception that led to the wildest/greatest play.
You know who else cares about the Pro Bowl? Jamal Adams
Jamal Adams was tackling everyone this weekend — even when he shouldn’t!
That prevented Xavien Howard from picking off Mitchell Trubisky right before the half.
Then after Ezekiel Elliott picked up a first down on a fake, Adams finally got his interception, picking off Adam Thielen on another trick play:
JuJu Smith-Schuster limped off
Either way, his day was over.
Andrew Luck has been a liiiiiittle off target this weekend
On his first drive, Luck went 0 of 3 with this pick:
But at least that’s a little better than this throw in dodgeball:
Luck finished 7 of 17 for 81 yards and the interception.
Patrick Mahomes is sorry he said a bad word
Mahomes and the other QBs were mic’d up, something he remembered a little too late:
He was also a little upset his favorite target, Tyreek Hill, was being double teamed:
But another teammate, fullback Anthony Sherman, got the AFC its second touchdown of the game, which was Mahomes’ final drive. In just over a quarter, the soon-to-be league MVP finished with 156 passing yards and a touchdown and got the AFC a 14-0 lead.
JuJu Smith-Schuster was not ready for Patrick Mahomes’ no-look pass
See, this is the fun we’re talking about — even if it wasn’t completed:
The good news for Mahomes and the AFC is that his next pass WAS completed — and it was a touchdown to Eric Ebron:
And contrary to what Jason Witten thinks, Ebron and Mahomes do not in fact play for the same team usually!
