The Eagles’ Super Bowl ring looks like a diamond-encrusted Beyblade

Time to duel.

The Philadelphia Eagles unveiled their new Super Bowl ring to commemorate their win over the Chiefs, and it’s absolutely buck wild. Championship rings are always gaudy, but get a load of this thing.

It’s almost twice the size of the ring players got in 2018, because inflation is real. More critically the ring has a button which pops out wings facing the wearer. It’s unquestionably one of both the coolest things a Super Bowl ring has ever had, and also the most hilarious.

Honestly, I’m kind of here for this. Yes, it’s exceptionally dumb — but like I said, all championship rings from the last two decades are. They exist purely as display pieces no human would ever actually wear, and they’ve become so comically oversized already that we might as well have things like mechanical wings popping out of them so they can be used on a subway car as a Beyblade.

Personally, I’m just waiting for the first team’s Super Bowl ring to be a full-on Transformer. Then we’ve reached peak culture.
