Half priced Brian Rolston just didn’t seem to appeal to anybody.
Brian Rolston Clears Re-Entry Waivers
The expensive Devils’ forward cleared re-entry waivers this morning, despite the fact that while on re-entry, any team in the league could have had him at half price. Had a team claimed him, the Devils would be on the hook to pay half of his salary over the next two seasons, about $2.53 million.
Lou Lamiorello’s team would’ve been happy with that, though, since it would give them some much needed flexibility. Instead, they’re still stuck with Rolston, who will return to the Devils’ NHL roster. We’ll see what the team opts to do from there.
