Jim Slater scored the first two goals of the game, but the Chicago Blackhawks scored the next four-in-a-row to down the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night, 4-3. Slater had the Jets in control early, scoring two goals in three minutes, but it all came crashing down for Winnipeg a short time later.
Andrew Brunette got one back for the Blackhawks midway through the first period, scoring on a power play to cut the Jets’ lead to 2-1. Patrick Kane tied it up late in the period, and the Blackhawks suddenly had all the momentum heading into the break.
