Penguins Vs. Rangers: Dustin Jeffrey Scores Shootout Winner; Pens Win 4-3
It took seven rounds of a shootout, but the Penguins Dustin Jeffrey scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Penguins a 4-3 victory over their Atlantic Division rivals.
The Rangers took an early 1-0 lead in the first period off a Brandon Prust goal. The Rangers followed that up with a quick goal to start the second period from Artem Anisimov. The Penguins offense woke up at that point and went on a three goal run with goals from Jeffrey, Michael Rupp, and Chris Kunitz.

So much for the game being low scoring.
The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins combined for five goals in the second period to knot the game at three after two periods. The scoring started with Artem Anisimov of the New York Rangers at the 1:41 mark of the first period to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.
