Joel Quenneville Hospitalized After Internal Bleeding Caused By Aspirin, Team Doctor Says
Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has been stabilized at a Chicago-area hospital following his admission there on Tuesday night.
“Joel was originally admitted to the hospital early Wednesday morning due to gastrointestinal bleeding,” Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement released by the team. “He has been stabilized and today the cause of the bleeding was determined to be a small ulcer caused by aspirin.”

Joel Quenneville is still in the hospital this Thursday, but he’s hoping to get back behind the Chicago Blackhawks bench on Friday night when his team hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has been hospitalized with chest pain, according to the team.
He experienced “severe discomfort” in his chest on Tuesday night at his home and was admitted to the hospital. The team announced the news on Wednesday morning with a statement from team physician Dr. Michael Terry.
