Red Wings Vs. Wild: Martin Havlat Answers Detroit Goal, Ties Game At 1-1

It’s been a defensive struggle all afternoon, but with Nicklas Lidstrom trailing a play in the Minnesota Wild zone, his blast from the high slot beat Nicklas Backstrom to break a 0-0 tie.

Lidstrom’s blast started the scoring, but just 3:40 later, Martin Havlat’s 500th career point tied the game once again. After failed to steal the puck away from a Red Wing in the defensive zone, Havlat found himself alone in the neutral zone. When Brent Burns stripped the puck, he dished it off to Havlat, who had a clear break to the net.

He easily beat Jimmy Howard, who failed to drop to his knees on the shot. It’s a tie game again, 1-1.
