In the first meeting between Jaroslav Halak, the goalie that propelled the Montreal Canadiens to the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago, and his ex-team, Halak certainly got the best of them.

After allowing a first period goal from Jeff Halpern, the Blues stormed back for four more goals and Halak held strong for 22 straight saves, giving him a total of 27 in the game as St. Louis topped Montreal 4-1. Carey Price, who leads the NHL in minutes played this season, stopped 23 of 26 shots.
That score is a little deceiving, though. It was only a 2-1 lead for most of the game, until with less than two minutes left , another former Hab put the Blues up two.
Matt D`Agostini's 14th of the year made it 3-1, and a little over a minute later after David Backes went to the box for holding, TJ Oshie's shorthanded, empty net goal but the game well out of reach.
