Sabres Vs. Bruins: Brad Boyes Gives Buffalo 2 Points With Overtime Winner

With every game that passes, it looks more and more like the Buffalo Sabres are playoff bound. After falling behind 2-0 to the Boston Bruins on Thursday night, the Sabres came from behind to tie the score. Then after falling behind yet again in the third period, Tim Connolly's power play goal with just five minutes left tied the score.

Late in overtime, Buffalo grabbed a vitally important second point via Brad Boyes.

Ryan Miller made a modest 26 saves for Buffalo, but that's nothing compared to Tim Thomas' 41 saves. If only he could've stopped that last one...

The win pushes Buffalo over the New York Rangers for the seventh spot in the East, as the teams are tied in points but the Sabres have played two less games to date. The failure to grab the extra point leaves Boston in third place in the East, one point behind Washington in second place and five points behind first place Philadelphia.
