Ducks Vs. Predators: Teemu Selanne Scores Two Goals, Ties Game

For the first 18 minutes of the second period, this game was easily in hand for the Nashville Predators, but Anaheim's Teemu Selanne roared back with two goals in 30 seconds, tying the game at two all.

Selanne's first goal came on a power play at the 18:10 mark. Corey Perry had a takeaway and got the puck to Selanne, who made the 10-foot wristshot. On the ensuing faceoff, Anaheim Nick Bonino won it, but Nashville's Kevin Klein eventually wound up with and then lost control of the puck. Selanne picked up the puck, sent it down the ice, but missed the net. But Corey Perry was there once again to feed the puck back to Selanne, who made the eight-foot wristshot to tie the game.

The period was marked by eight penalties, Shane O’Brien’s elbowing penalty at 17:29 leading to the first Selanne goal.

The Predators continue to outshoot the Ducks, 27-10, but the latter will need to pick things up if they want to pull put the victory.
