Ducks Vs. Predators Final Score: Nashville Holds Off Anaheim For 4-3 Victory

The Nashville Predators lead the Anaheim Ducks in this series, 2-1, following their 4-3 victory on Sunday. The Predators lost a two-goal lead, but picked up the win with a hard-fought third period.

The Predators held the early lead following goals by Martin Erat (on the power play) and Jordin Tootoo in a span of 40 seconds late in the first period. Following a second period that was marked by a number of penalties, Teemu Selanne tied the game at two with two goals in a span on 30 seconds. This happened with less than two minutes to go in the period.

So it came down to the third period, and the Predators came out early with a David Legwand goal. However, Matt Beleskey tied the game at three just over a minute later. But the Ducks came up short when Mike Fisher put an eight-foot wrister past Ray Emery for the game-winning goal.

The Predators put 37 shots up on Ray Emery and the Ducks (stopping 34 of them), while the Ducks were only able to get 16 shots on net. Pekka Rinne made 13 saves.

This series continues on Wednesday, April 20 with another game in Anaheim.
