Ducks Vs. Predators, Game 6 Score: Teams Tied After Close First Period

If the Nashville Predators are going to advance past the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in franchise history, it’s going to take a win against an Anaheim Ducks team that doesn’t want its season to end just yet. In Game 6 of their Western Conference Quarterfinals series, the Predators and Ducks are tied, 1-1, after the first period.

The Ducks took the lead on a Teemu Selanne goal midway through the first period; it was his sixth of the playoffs, which leads the NHL.

But Nashville answered back just before the end of the period on a Jordin Tootoo goal, his first of the playoffs. And the Predators held the shot advantage in the first period at Bridgestone Arena, firing 10 shots to Anaheim’s four.
