Ryan Kesler had yet to score on 35 shots in the playoffs thus far. That was until the first minute of the second period of Game 3. The Canucks powerplay started the period with another Jerred Smithson created powerplay. The first powerplay of this type saw the Canucks giving up a goal against. This time around, the Canucks ended up scoring on the powerplay to tie the score at one goal a piece.

The Canucks have been able to shut down the Predators offense through much of this game. In the second period, the Canucks outshot the Predators 9-4, which gives Vancouver a 24 to 12 edge in shots through the first two periods. The key for the Predators has been goaltender Pekka Rinne. Rinne has been able to keep the Predators in every game thus far in the series and Game 3 is no different. Rinne has made a bunch of good shots to keep the Canucks only to one goal thus far.
The series is tied at one game a piece and thus far this game is tied at one goal a piece. Something has to give here eventually.
