Canucks Vs. Predators, Game 3: Vancouver And Nashville Head To Overtime For Second Consecutive Time
The Vancouver Canucks scored early in the third period to give themselves a 2-1 lead. Chris Higgins was able to beat Pekka Rinne who was out of position after colliding with his defenseman and the Canucks appeared to be heading to a Game 3 victory. Joel Ward spoiled that with his own goal at the 13:18 mark of the period to tie the game at two goals a piece.
The Canucks had been outshooting the Predators through the first two periods by a two to one margin. The Predators offense found some life though in the third period, putting 14 shots on goal in the period. The Canucks ended up with 16 in the period and are still outshooting Nashville 40-26 in the game.
