David Krejci did not join his Boston Bruins teammates for practice Friday, one day after being struck in the head by a falling pane of TD Garden glass. He still expects to play in Game 2.
David Krejci Injury: Bruins Forward Expects To Play Game 2 Vs. Capitals
Boston’s top line center told the media after Friday morning’s practice that he “thinks he’ll play tomorrow” and that other than a sore neck, he feels like he’s in solid shape. Head coach Claude Julien called it a “freak accident,” adding that Krejci is “fine.”
That’s great news for the Bruins. Krejci is a vital piece of their offense, and without him the Capitals defense would have a much easier task when it comes to matching up with their opponent.
