Edmonton Oilers Reportedly Close To Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle Contract Extensions
The Edmonton Oilers appear to be close to inking left wing Taylor Hall and right wing Jordan Eberle to contract extensions.
Both Hall and Eberle are entering the final seasons of their three-year entry-level contracts and would become unrestricted free agents after the 2012-13 season if they don’t agree to terms with Edmonton.
After finishing dead last in the Northwest Division, the Oilers are looking to lock up key pieces of their front line, and this would appear to be two steps in the right direction.
Hall, the first overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft, and had 27 goals and 26 assists in his second year in the league. Eberle, the Oilers’ first-round pick in the 2008, led the team in goals (34), assists (42) and points (76).
