The Los Angeles Kings have finally raised their Stanley Cup banner. They had to wait a bit, of course, through an entire offseason and a 113-day long lockout and then two weeks of prep time.
Los Angeles Kings (finally) raise Stanley Cup banner
It was a long wait, but the words “Stanley Cup Champions” finally hang from the rafters at Staples Center.
The ceremony was a bit long and the music choices -- Flo Rida, My Chemical Romance -- were a bit questionable, but after such a long wait, the Kings finally got a chance to do what they’ve waited to do for so long. They passed the Cup from player-to-player, they gathered, unveiled the banner and then raised it to the rafters of Staples Center.

They’re pretty happy over at Jewels From The Crown.
