Sergei Fedorov, the 43-year-old unrestricted free agent, was signed to a one-year, two-way contract with CSKA Moscow of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League by Sergei Fedorov, the 43-year-old general manager, according to Igor Eronko of Sports.ru on Thursday morning.

Sergei Fedorov has signed a one-year contract with CSKA Moscow of the KHL. He is the general manager of the team.
Reports surfaced on Wednesday that Fedorov was going to return to professional hockey to play for CSKA while the club deals with injury issues. Fedorov skated for approximately 90 minutes and took repetitions at forward and defense, according to Pavel Lysenkov of Sovietsky Sport.
Early reports indicated that Fedorov would dress for the team’s game against Metallurg Magnitogorsk on Friday night. However, that hasn’t been determined at this time:

Fedorov hasn’t played a professional game since 2012, when he dressed for Magnitogorsk in the second round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs. He is presently acting as CSKA’s manager.
