Scoring first period goals has been a problem for the Buffalo Sabres this season.
Tyler Ennis scores 10 seconds into game
The Buffalo Sabres don’t score many first period goals, but they did get one 10 seconds into their game on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

Entering their game against St. Louis on Tuesday night, they had scored just three goals in the opening period all season. Considering only two other teams, Florida (9) and Carolina (8), had fewer than 10 this season, that’s obviously a pretty bad number.
That's partly why it was so surprising to see Tyler Ennis score just 10 seconds in.
It’s only the third time this season Buffalo has scored the first goal in a game.
The lead would not last long for the Sabres, as the Blues scored the equalizer just a minute later and recorded 11 of the next 14 shots.
