Vernon Fiddler with a nasty backhand to tie game on penalty shot

Dallas Stars forward Vernon Fiddler tied Tuesday’s game in Boston with this nasty penalty shot goal late in the third period.

Vernon Fiddler is known more for his defense than his offensive ability, but as he showed late in the third period of Tuesday's game in Boston, he knows how to put the puck in the back of the net when he has the opportunity.

With the Stars trailing, 2-1, with less than three minutes to play against Boston, Fiddler was awarded a penalty shot when he was hauled down by Dennis Seidenberg.

He did not waste that chance, beating Tuukka Rask to send the game to overtime.
