What are you doing, Scott Hartnell?

This just wasn’t very nice, Scott Hartnell.

The Philadelphia Flyers had some penalty trouble during the second period in Detroit on Wednesday might, taking five consecutive minor penalties.

One of them belonged to forward Scott Hartnell for this play that involved him knocking Gustav Nyquist to the ice and then, as the two are sliding along the surface, punching him in the back of the head. There's really no need for that.

Just two minutes after this play defenseman Luke Schenn was sent off for charging Justin Abdelkader, hitting him from behind into the boards. It was only a minor penalty but it's probably one that's going to get an additional look from the NHL's department of player safety. The Flyers were trailing, 3-1, at the time of all of this but have since managed to come back with five consecutive goals, including one from Hartnell, to win 6-3.
