The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman James Wisniewski on injured reserve due to a broken bone in his foot, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman James Wisniewski on injured reserve and expect him to miss 4-6 weeks.
Wisniewski sustained the injury while blocking a shot against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. Wisniewski is expected to miss 4-6 weeks while recovering from the injury.
This latest development marks the second time that Wisniewski has sustained an injury in February. Earlier in the month, he was diagnosed with a concussion after hitting his head on the end boards during a game against the Detroit Red Wings.
After missing eight days, Wisniewski returned on Feb. 10 and played in six games before suffering the foot injury.
With Wisniewski on injured reserve, the Blue Jackets have recalled Cody Goloubef from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
