Rangers vs. Hurricanes: Rick Nash scores sick shootout goal on Dan Ellis
Rick Nash is better at hockey than you are.
Rick Nash did not have an easy time with the puck on Monday night. He had three official shots on goal, but he also had numerous breakaway chances that he fired well wide of the net. A frustrating night for the star New York winger.
So he took out that frustration during the shootout. Nash scored one of the nastier shootout goals of the season, deking left before stopping on a dime and pulling the puck all the way to the right before slipping it just past Dan Ellis' left pad. It was a sick, vintage Rick Nash goal that set up J.T. Miller's game-winner two rounds later in the shootout. It wasn't easy, but the Rangers pulled off a gritty win.
