Oilers vs. Red Wings: Mike Brown pummels Jordin Tootoo

Brown showed the toughness that the Oilers were looking for when they traded for him.

When the Edmonton Oilers acquired Mike Brown from the Toronto Maple Leafs just days ago, in exchange for a fourth-round pick, they had to be hoping he would bring some toughness to a lineup full of young stars. In the second period of Thursday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings, he made sure to deliver.

In Brown's first fight as an Oiler, he threw a flurry of punches at Detroit's Jordin Tootoo. Both of these men are experienced in the ways of fighting, with dozens of NHL fights for each of them in their respective histories, but Brown's furious assault gets him the edge in this particular bout.
