Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cullen will return to the lineup against the Calgary Flames on Monday night, the team announced Monday afternoon.
Matt Cullen injury: Wild forward to return Monday
Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cullen will return to the lineup on Monday night after a six-game absence.

Cullen has missed six games due to a lower-body injury. The Wild collected a 1-4-1 record over that span.
The 36-year-old forward participated in an optional skate at Xcel Energy Center on Sunday afternoon and was hoping to return against Calgary. During the practice, Cullen pushed himself by participating in battle drills with assistant coach Darby Hendrickson. He stated that he didn’t experience any issues and that he would determine his availability on Monday morning.
Head coach Mike Yeo stated that Cullen looked good. He stated he would likely pair Cullen with Devin Setoguchi if he was able to play. The pair found success with one another, as Cullen recorded four goals and 12 assists in the 16 games prior to his injury, while Setoguchi compiled nine goals and six assists.
In the six games since, Setoguchi has a single assist.
Rookie Mikael Granlund will be a healthy scratch.
