Blackhawks vs. Red Wings: Michal Handzus, Viktor Stalberg in for Game 3
Joel Quenneville confirmed Michal Handzus and Viktor Stalberg will be available for Game 3, which means another player will need to be scratched.
Handzus was unable to participate in practice on Sunday due to an apparent injury. The extent of the situation is unclear, but will not alter his availability. Questions about Handzus’ health directly related to Stalberg’s availability because a player in the starting lineup will need to be scratched in order to free up a roster spot. Stalberg was a healthy scratch in the first two games of the second round due to undisclosed reasons. Quenneville stated on Sunday that the player displayed an improved performance in practice and would likely play in Game 3.
Some have speculated that forward Daniel Carcillo will be the healthy scratch on Monday night. However, Quenneville was unwilling to acknowledge who will be coming out of the lineup for Stalberg.
