Blackhawks vs. Kings Game 5 update: Stalemate continues in Chicago

Corey Crawford held down the fort, and Game 5 is heading to the second overtime.

If you loved the two-overtime Game 3 in the Eastern Conference Finals, you have to be loving this one in Chicago. The Blackhawks and Kings are still tied at 3-3 after the first overtime, despite numerous chances for both squads.

The Kings continued where they left off in regulation, peppering Corey Crawford with quality shots. Crawford turned away all 11 shots in the period, none more flashy than this on Jake Muzzin.

Crawford had to withstand friendly fire from Brent Seabrook. Seabrook struggled to stay afloat most of the period.

And yet, the best chance of the frame came in the final minutes when Seabrook’s shot just went wide of the net off the rush. The way these two traded scoring chances, expect this one to end in the second overtime.
