5 NHL questions: Mike Cammalleri returns to Montreal

Our daily feature asks the five biggest questions about today’s NHL action. Will they be answered? (That doesn’t count as one of the five questions.)

1. Will Mike Cammalleri be traded during Tuesday’s game?

Just kidding, but it would be funny considering he is returning to Montreal for the first time since being traded to the Flames during a game in January of 2012. Cammalleri is believed to be on the trade block, so a trade isn't out of the question, but during tonight's game seems unlikely.

So, how will his return go? Will the Montreal fans boo him?

2. How will James van Riemsdyk perform against the Panthers?

JvR is battling the flu and was unable to travel with the Maple Leafs. However, he took a commercial flight down and will be in the lineup on Tuesday night. Will he be hindered by his illness in any way?

3. Will anything happen between the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins?

Tensions always seems to flare up whenever these two meet and the Canucks have added pressure because things have been going south for the last few weeks. Vancouver has gone four straight without a win and Boston has won five of its last six.

4. How will Paul Maurice’s return to Carolina go?

The Winnipeg Jets have performed fantastically since Maurice stepped behind the bench, winning eight of 10 games. The club will challenge Maurice's former team, the Carolina Hurricanes, on Tuesday night. Can the Jets muster another impressive performance?

5. Will the Islanders snap their five-game winless streak?

New York has not recorded a win in five straight and will look to end that run against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night. The Islanders are in last place in the Metropolitan Division and sit 12 points back of a playoff spot. Washington has won three of their last five, but are 3-6-3 in their last 12.
