The 2015 NHL All-Star Game featured plenty of goals in the first period, but none of them really stood out until John Tavares went on a solo mission in the dying minutes.

The New York Islanders captain carried the puck into the offensive zone, deked a little bit and then lowered the shoulder before beating Carey Price to tie the game at four goals apiece.
It’s almost like he knew the defenseman wouldn’t play him hard in an All-Star Game.
