Remember when NHL fans were obsessed with throwing animals onto the ice to celebrate goals? Now we live in much simpler times, when fans just raise children into the air and shake them.
Islanders fan celebrates goal by shaking his kid over his head
This seems safe!
The first instance of this was last spring when a Blackhawks fan raised his kid into the air like he was a little human Stanley Cup. Not to be outdone, a New York Islanders fan raised the stakes on Monday after an empty-net goal.
That kid does NOT look like he’s participating in that celebration. At any rate, the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup last year, so expect the Islanders to do the same now.
