Evgeny Kuznetsov barely let the Detroit Red Wings breathe in overtime, scoring just 45 seconds into the free hockey period to put the Washington Capitals over the home team 2-1.
Evgeny Kuznetsov nets overtime winner 45 seconds in for Capitals
Too easy for Kuznetsov.

The Capitals had been pressuring the Wings through much of the third period, but were unable to break through the stone wall of netminder Petr Mrazek. Kuznetsov takes the puck off the boards and with all the open space on the 3-on-3, pulls a few moves from forehand to backhand and back. He fires the puck on the forehand on the doorstep, slipping it through the arm of Mrazek for the overtime winner.
