John Tavares finishes diving Kyle Okposo pass on empty net

The Islanders captain capitalized on a no-goalie situation.

The New York Islanders captain finally has double digit goals thanks to this easy tap in. John Tavares benefited from quite a pass that took Montreal Canadiens netminder Carey Price out of the equation, resulting in the Islanders opening goal.

The pass from Kyle Okposo happens just below the red line, drawing Price out of his net in order to stop what looks like a shot on net. Instead, Okposo flipped the puck around a reaching Price to Tavares, who skated in just in time to get a stick on it and direct it into the net with a Montreal defender shadowing him the whole time.
