Mike Fisher ends Nashville’s scoring drought at three games

The Predators are scoreless no more!

It was a long time coming, but the Nashville Predators finally have a goal on the board. The Predators were held scoreless in their last three games, last putting a puck in the back of the net in their Nov. 17 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Two more periods of scoreless play and Nashville would have had the NHL's longest scoreless drought in 30 years. Thankfully, Mike Fisher's opening tally halted history and put the Predators on the board 1-0 against the Buffalo Sabres.

The Predators get multiple stabs at the puck, as it lands at the feet of Buffalo goaltender Linus Ullmark. Fisher ultimately gets the final attempt, slipping by the Sabres defense to get a quick wrist shot off that beat Ullmark blocker side.

It’s not a pretty goal by any means, but if it kickstarts Nashville’s scoring again, they will certainly take it.
