Corey Perry’s stick got hacked and almost flew into the crowd

As a pest parading as an elite goal-scorer, Corey Perry has seen his fair share of sticks hacked in half by opponents.

It's doubtful he's seen his stick hacked thirty feet into the air, though. That's exactly what happened when he raced a Columbus Blue Jackets defender to the puck on Friday. One second his stick was reaching out, the next it was careening through the air like a helicoptering tree branch during a hurricane.
