Bruins Brad Marchand rocks Mark Borowiecki on low hit

Ottawa is probably not happy with this.

With Boston already down one David Krejci due to injury, it's most certainly not the greatest time for the Bruins to lose another of their big names. Brad Marchand might be taking a few days off for Boston after this hit in Tuesday evening's game against the Ottawa Senators.

The chip is quite an unnecessary one from Marchand, who went low on the Senators' Mark Borowiecki before flipping the Ottawa defenseman over his back on the followthrough. If anything, it's a clear interference penalty, which wasn't called by the officials on the ice. Borowiecki wasn't injured on the play, but Marchand had no business going low on the knees on a player in a vulnerable position.

Consensus on social media says that the NHL will probably take a look at this play, so we’ll know within a few days whether Marchand will face discipline for the blow.

Update: Borowiecki later took out his frustrations and mixed it up with big man Zdeno Chara. You tried, Mark.
