Either the Force is a very real thing or the ice in sunny, humidity filled Florida is quite bad this time of year. Regardless, goaltender Ben Scrivens had something on his side after this puck that floated over his shoulder bounced completely out of the way of an empty net to save a Panthers goal in the second period.
The only explanation for this Ben Scrivens save is magic

— Becca H (@BeccaH_JR) December 30, 2015 Scrivens, who is making his return to the NHL with Montreal after spending this season in the minors, clearly gets no part of this puck after it falls over him into the blue paint. Normally, the trajectory of that puck would bounce it right into the net for the Panthers, but a strange case of physics, bad Florida ice and potentially magic kept the spinning disk out of the net for the new Canadiens netminder.
Personally? Scrivens is totally a Jedi. Explains why he’s been in hiding in the AHL all this time.
