Dennis Seidenberg takes dangerous cross-check from Lightning player

The Bruins defenseman was hit in a vulnerable position and suffered for it.

The Bruins are going to need every last man healthy if they want to secure a decent playoff position in these final weeks of the regular season. But for a moment on Thursday, it looked like they lost one of their best defensemen.

Dennis Seidenberg was injured in the second period during a battle for the puck behind Boston's net. While Seidenberg was in a vulnerable position, Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison shoved him off the puck and sent him face-first into the boards.

Seidenberg got up, leaking a lot of blood, but managed to return to the game. Garrison served a two-minute penalty for cross-checking.
